Michigan- Brian Mihtar, AKA "The Lion," seeks to add another victim to his winning list as he prepares for his highly anticipated boxing event on February 1st at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills Michigan. Followed by an impeccable record of eight wins, seven knockouts, and zero loses, this will be the undefeated Yemeni boxer's first shot to
contend for a title. The February 1st boxing event will be for the "WBF All America's Title Eliminator." If Brian win,s he will be fighting for the WBF All Americas Title, just sixteen days after the Palace fight. Mihtar was asked if his upcoming fight at the Palace would be a turning point of his career, he goes on to say, "I fight every fight as if its my last fight.
The February 1 bout is a very big fight for me because it will give me the chance to showcase my talent in front of my home crowd and also bring me one step closer to a title shot, inshaallah (God willing)."
2007 was a defining year for Abrahim (Brian Mihtar); he won all four of his fights, giving him solid recognition as a force to be reckoned with in the boxing world. Brian's impressive boxing record along with his unique ring tactics captured the attention of the famous boxing trainer Emanuel Stewart; Stewart, who trained World Champion boxers such as Prince Naseem, Lenox Lewis and many more, took a moment to give his input on "The Lion". "Brian is a very well coordinated boxer with high intelligence, he has pure instinct to catch his opponents mistakes and make them pay for it
in the ring, most fighters have to train day and night in the ring to get that instinct; but Brain was just born with it. If he keeps doing what he has been doing, he will become world champion very soon." When asked if there is any advice he could give to other fighters before taking center action with "The Lion," he quickly replied, "Don't make any mistakes because he will make you pay."
In addition to becoming a furious competitor and a fan favorite, 2008 is said to be the year Brian Mihtar gets his well deserved title shot. He plans to partake in many more bouts than the previous year. Abrahim and his management, Team Mihtar, expect to close out the year 2008 with at least ten more victories giving him a professional record of 18-0 and putting him in line for a shot at the world title. Brian Mihtar's training usually takes place at the Kronk Boxing Gym in Dearborn. However, this past summer, he was invited to Puerto Rico to train with the Welterweight Champion of the World, Paul "The Punisher" Williams. Brian claims to have learned all the tricks of the ring from a champion fighter; (Paul) that of which will hopefully aid in his development of becoming a champion one day, or according to Emanuel
Stewart "very soon."
